What is a Life Group?

You can be a leader or just join one. A Life Group is a small gathering of people who meet regularly to deepen their faith, build supportive relationships, and grow together spiritually. These groups typically meet weekly or biweekly, either in someone’s home, at a church, in community or online.

Life Groups often include Bible study, prayer, discussion, and sometimes community service or social events. They provide a space for members to share life experiences, ask questions, and support each other’s faith journey. The group’s format can vary based on the needs and preferences of its members, but the primary focus is usually on growing in faith, accountability, and building authentic connections.

You don’t need to be a Bible expert or have all the answers to join. The beauty of a Life Group is that it’s a place for everyone—no matter where you are in your faith journey. The goal is to come together, share your thoughts and perspectives on Scripture, and learn from one another. Each person might see something different, and that’s okay. We’re all here to grow, support each other, and deepen our understanding together.

How long is a Life Group

The length of a Life Group is about 12 weeks long. To make things easier it is followed by the Discovery Bible App that helps as a guide to go over the bible together. Some Life Groups are ongoing, meeting continuously throughout the year, while others are designed to last for a set period—like six to twelve weeks—or are based on a specific curriculum or Bible study series. You do it however you see fit.

Typically, groups meet for about 1 hour each session, once a week or biweekly. Some groups may take breaks during holidays or summer months, but others continue meeting year-round to maintain community and support.
